ℹ Example: Rectangle Room (Flooring)

Suppose you have a rectangular room that is 12 ft wide and 15 ft long. You want to find the total square footage for flooring.

  1. Choose Shape = Rectangle
  2. Set Units = Feet (ft) and Area Unit = Square Feet (ft²)
  3. Enter Width = 12 and Length = 15
  4. Click Calculate Area

Formula: Area = Length • Width ? Area = 15 • 12 = 180 ft² If you enter a unit price (e.g., $2.50 per ft²), the calculator will also show: Total Cost = 180 × 2.50 = $450.00.
